Spray tanning is a luxurious alternative to the aging effects of natural or sunbed tanning. Applied properly by a
trained artist using premium products, a spray tan can slim the silhouette and create a healthy, sexy look.
Soleil D'or Spray Tanning's tans are created with Norvell Sunless solutions in:
•Original - A sheer kiss of golden warmth. Perfect for a subtle glow. Suggested for fair skin types and wears
naturally even on the fairest of redheads!
•Dark- A true bronze that gives you the ultimate Scottsdale summer tan. Suggested for most skin types.
•Double Dark- An intense, deep bronze. Creates a rich and earthy tan. Best for olive/dark complexions,
but can be worn on fair skin for a dramatic look.
•Venetian- Norvell's newest and darkest addition to their series, Venetian develops into an espresso
shade. Best for olive/dark complexions, but can be worn on fair skin for a dramatic look.
Each tan includes Norvell's pH balancing XLATAN prep spray, your choice of Norvell Sunless tanning solution,
and a post tan Hydrofirm finishing spray that moisturizes and hydrates your skin.

For optimal results, please follow all instructions in the order listed. Variations in the pre or post tan care may alter the tans longevity and development.
•The night before : Please exfoliate the night before your spray tan, taking extra care with elbows, knees, and around the feet. Our artists recommend Norvell's Intensive Detoxifying Salt Scrub. Shave anywhere necessary and apply lotion post-shower. Norvell's Daily Replenishing 24 HR Moisturizer, Eucerin or Lubriderm are recommended. Also, please hydrate internally, drinking plenty of water. Skin absorbs the solution better when properly hydrated in and out. Please note that alcohol or medication consumption less than 24 hours before your appointment may alter results. Call if you have any questions or concerns about pre tan preparation!
•The day of : Please arrive (if possible) freshly showered for your spray tan with no lotion, deodorant, or perfume.
(Cleansing and make-up removal wipes are available upon request.) A clean surface helps to ensure even application of
the spray tan.
•What To Wear•
•Please wear dark, loose clothing that does not press firmly against the skin. Flip flop style shoes are suggested. You
may wear what you like during the spray tan process.
•During Your Appointment•
•Your artist will answer any initial questions you may have. Your Norvell solution is hand blended for you and
applied with an airbrush. Annotations are made to ensure that we consistently offer each client their own blend, made
perfectly every time. Once your spray tan is applied, your artist will ensure that you are dry to avoid any streaking.
•Post Tan Instructions•
•Do NOT shower, excessively sweat, or wet the skin for at least 8 hours after your spray tan. The solution deepens
over time, so to achieve optimal bronzing, let the solution rest for 18-24 hours. Gold Bond Original
powder applied to the underarms, back of knees, inside the elbow, and between the shoulder blades helps to avoid
moisture collecting and streaking your spray tan.
•Your first shower after your spray tan will rinse off the excess solution that did not absorb. Use a moisturizing body wash and a soft loofah or cloth. Avoid bar soap, using instead a moisturizing wash. We suggest Norvell's pH Balancing Shower Cleanser. Blot dry..NEVER rub.
•Moisturize twice daily, using Norvell's Daily Replenishing 24 HR Moisturizer, Eucerin, or Lubriderm.
•Exfoliate ONLY the day before your next spray tan. Again, pay special attention to the areas mentioned above in

•Will I turn orange? - Soleil D'or Spray Tanning creates tans exclusively with Norvell Sunless products. We
pride ourselves on creating premium spray tans with premium products for our clientele. Our spray tans are always
truly bronze with no streaking. Please note that certain medications may alter the chemical composition of your skin, increasing the pH and resulting in irregularities. The "orange" that occurs is directly related to high pH within the skin. Soleil D'or Spray Tanning offers a pre tan pH balancing prep spray with every tan. Patch tests are always offered free of charge!
•How long does a spray tan last?- 5 to 7 days. Twice daily moisturizing is essential to the longevity of your spray
tan. Very active individuals who sweat more than the average person may benefit from twice weekly tans to ensure
continuous coverage. Internal hydration is also key to keeping a spray tan looking fresh.
•Can I exercise or swim after my spray tan?- NO.Your tan needs at least 8 hours to properly develop, and optimally
18 to 24 hours. Please avoid water or excessive sweating while the tan rests. Also note that individuals who swim in
a pool frequently are advised to use a pH-balancing lotion twice daily for 2 days prior to the appointment. Pool
chemicals affect the pH in the top layer of skin and may affect the DHA development process.
•Does the solution stain fabrics?- It may, depending on the fabric. Wear loose, dark clothing until your first post tan
shower. If you sleep before your first post tan shower, you may consider wearing loose pyjamas to sleep.
•Is spray tanning safe? - The FDA has approved the use of DHA as an external cosmetic product. It is not intended
for consumption. Our artists do offer nose plugs or cotton batting as well as barrier creme on the eyelids. Your spray
tan is applied at a downward angle to avoid direct interior contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. Diabetics and
pregnant women are advised to consult a physician before receiving a spray tan. Our solution is derived from sugar
cane and sugar beets, and the trans-dermal absorption may affect blood sugar levels.
